Great gift idea!

Like I mentioned before we have a friend of my husband staying with us and he is Argentinean. One of the gifts he brought us is a specialty of Argentina called alfajores. This brand of alfajores “Havanna” are very popular in Brazil. You can find them in almost any mall in Brazil and my husband loves them. Apparently many Americans enjoy these little treats because when searching online I found a couple of places in major cities that sell them!

Simple Pleasures

The other night I was craving Reese’s peanut butter cups and so my husband searched online to see if we could find them in São Paulo. Nope, apparently Brazilians have not jumped on the peanut butter and chocolate band wagon. Fortunately, two of my huband’s friends from Yale are staying with us this week and when they asked what they could bring from America, he said, “Bring Reese’s peanut butter cups for my wife.” Now I have a nice little supply!

Special Gift

This is the chocolate egg my husband and I recieved from his parents for Easter. It is from a very fancy chocolate shop in Brazil called Kopenhagen. Each layer of the egg is a different chocolate, the outside is made of one of my favorites “Língua de Gato” translated as Cat Tongue. Check out the Kopenhagen website!
